I love Testimonies. The best one I heard was the one just before I came to college, when my mother stood up and expressed her love for me and our whole family. She was filled with the spirit, and there was so much love. I cry every time I remember it. The church has to be true, because through it I have the best parents, the greatest family, and we're strengthened every time we pray together. When she was giving her testimony, she said how gratifying it was to be able to read the scriptures together. Last night I remembered that so much when I was reading alone. The gospel is supposed to be shared, and I think that's what testimonies are about.
Thanks for listening to me work that out.
What was the most moving testimony you've heard?

Re: Best Testimony
Thu, March 8, 2007 - 1:40 PMInteresting question. It's not so much the words that I remember as it is the feelings that come over me during the Fasting/Testimony meeting. That feeling of calm or that feeling of joy, sometimes of deep reflection. Those are what I take away from the meeting. That said, the most remember-able testimony for me was at my first Testimony meeting. I was 26 at the time, and the testimony was from a soon to be good friend of mine Malia. As she was sharing her Testimony she was absolutely balling and at the time I had no idea what that meant, I was not used to people sharing there inner most emotions so freely in public. This was the first example that I witnessed of the effects of living a Christ centered life. I can only hope to one day have as powerful a testimony as she and others like my wife.
